Bonderam Festival

This is the most happening festival celebrated on a grand scale on the island of Divar. The word ‘Bonderam’ originated from the involvement of flags. ‘Bandeira’ is the Portuguese word for flag. This festival starts with a flag which is accompanied by the brass band. Later there is a fancy-dress competition which is followed by the traditional float parade. This is followed by a live band performance by the famous music bands of Goa. Bonderam is a very popular monsoon festival in Goa that witnesses huge crowds from across Goa and world over.
